Cola bad for bone density

Health & Fitness Nutrition

When you are young the last thing on your mind is the strength of your bones and to even consider drinking cola, possibly the most popular ‘pop’ drink, could cause you to suffer osteoporosis in later life seems be entering the realms of fantasy.

However it appears that researches as Tufts University USA, have found that diets containing greater portions of phosphorus than calcium are more likely to suffer brittle bone disease, because phosphorus affects the absorption of calcium. Cola has exactly this chemical balance. So if you consume large amounts, and many people do, you could be facing a life of misery.

You can of course protect yourself by doing exercise and experts agree that the best form is resistance training using free weights or multi gyms.
